Description: 403pp.Tipped on frontis photograph of F.B. Baillio, followed by a biographical sketch. He was the historian for the Texas Press Association and died shortly before the book went to press. Includes a list of the officers for 1915-1916 and a roster of the members in 1915.

Comments: This is the first and most important history of the Association, with primary source material. The section on the history of early Texas Newspapers is especially useful with information on papers published in "East"Texas, "West " Texas, and papers published in 1862, 1867. This copy has the pencil signature of W.D. Gaston on the fly-leaf. The covers have wear at spine ends, tips and edges, with about 2 1/2 inches of the board exposed on the front cover fore-edge.
