Description: Previous owner was publisher's rep with a book review column and has written a line of descriptive text on front paste-down and a note on Yoknapathawpha County under his name on free front endpaper, he has pasted a magazine photograph of the author by Schaal-Pix and the fairly negative Saturday Review of Faulkner is pasted inside front and rear covers including the rear free endpaper. Dust jacket is price unclipped $4.75 with a half inch reinforcement of masking tape visible around the top and bottom edge. The jacket is otherwise very nice. untorn and unchipped (thanks to the tape) clean and unfaded though spine maybe a tiny bit age toned. Top edge gray, blue/gray wash on title page as called for in the first edition. Gilt on gray cloth spine is printed on dark gray labels and is all bright unworn, cloth unworn, corners sharp heel of spine gently bumped. A handsome copy flaws noted. First Printing stated on c.r. page, not a book club.
